Key Responsibilities :
- • Payment Collection: Ensure timely follow-up and collection of outstanding payments from clients/customers, maintaining strong relationships to facilitate smooth transactions.
- • Customer Communication: Regularly communicate with customers through phone calls, emails, and visits to resolve payment-related queries and issues professionally.
- • Invoice & Documentation Management: Maintain proper records of invoices, receipts, payment commitments, and collection reports for transparency and compliance.
- • Recovery Strategy: Develop and implement effective strategies for overdue payments, including negotiation and escalation when necessary.
- • Coordination with Sales & Accounts Teams: Collaborate closely with internal departments to reconcile payment discrepancies and update ledger accounts.
- • Field Visits: Conduct regular field visits for payment collection where required, ensuring personal interaction to build trust and close pending payments.
- • Reporting: Provide regular updates and MIS reports on collection status, ageing analysis, and recovery performance to management.
- • Compliance & Ethics: Follow all company policies and legal guidelines in debt collection procedures, ensuring ethical and lawful practices.
- • Target Achievement: Work toward achieving monthly and quarterly collection targets and contribute to improving the company’s cash flow.
- • Time Management & Follow-ups: Manage multiple accounts efficiently with organized follow-ups and systematic tracking of due payments.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable roles
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or ERP systems)
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage field visits when required
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and documentation
