Key Responsibilities :
- Product Sales & Promotion: Drive primary and secondary sales of rice and tea products in the assigned zone by expanding market reach and customer base.
- General Trade Channel Development: Strengthen distribution in the General Trade segment by appointing and managing distributors and retailers.
- Local Market Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge of the assigned zone’s demographics, preferences, and consumption patterns to implement effective sales strategies.
- Retail Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, ensuring product availability, visibility, and placement in stores.
- Sampling & Product Awareness: Organize and oversee sampling activities, wet/dry tastings, and promotional campaigns to drive trials and conversions.
- Demand Planning & Forecasting: Assess demand, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams for timely fulfilment.
- Competitor Mapping: Monitor pricing, positioning, and promotional activities of competing rice and tea brands and share insights with management.
- Sales Tracking & Reporting: Maintain beat-wise sales records, update DSRs, and report zone-wise performance to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Scheme Implementation: Roll out trade schemes and ensure timely communication and execution at the distributor and retail level.
- Target Achievement: Consistently work towards achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs set by the company.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field
• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in FMCG sales, specifically in rice, tea, or related food categories
• Proven track record in General Trade sales within Delhi NCR
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent knowledge of the local retail landscape and distributor networks
• Proficient in MS Office and basic sales reporting tools
• Willingness to travel within the assigned zone for field work
